Who Forgets Their Five Year Anniversary?

Whoops! That would be me. And J until I reminded him.

Good thing I got this fancy calendar for Christmas with all these stickers that say "Birthday!", "Party!", "Appointment!" and, of course, "Anniversary!". I was so enjoying putting those stickers on for every little thing going on this year that I actually ran out of them. Some people had to get "Appointment!" for their "Birthday!" sticker. Oh well.

This is the calendar I use at my work. Luckily, I had remembered back in January to mark April 4th as me and J's 5th year anniversary. Although, I'm really bad about flipping the page to the next month when a new month rolls in. Sometimes, I'll actually be two months behind. And this is at my work, mind you, a calendar I look at every single day I'm there. Instead of taking the calendar down, flipping to the current month's page and hanging it back up I'll just pull up the previous month's page and look real quick at the current month. I have done this my whole life. It's even worse at my house. My calendar here is still on January. And I just recently wrote down my April 22nd dentist appointment on the April page after flipping up the two previous months. And I still didn't change it to the current month. I think it might border on that I refuse for some reason.

Anyway...

Like I said, luckily I had remembered back in January to mark April 4th as me and J's 5th year anniversary. And on April 4th, my good friend at work asked me about something having to do with dates in April so I flipped to that month and low and behold, there was the big pink "Anniversary!" sticker staring me in the face. My first thought was "Oh shit" because for a split second I actually thought I had missed it totally. Then I realized our anniversary was that day and made a point to text J so he wouldn't be the only one who forgot.

The anniversary came and went. I can't believe it's already been five years. Oh my god.

One more thing... don't worry if it seems like I forgot your birthday this year. I'll catch you in a couple months when I've finally got the calendar page turned and am staring at the big purple "Appointment!" sticker going "Oh shit..."
