My concert week is over...

Wednesday night J and I went to see Kelly Clarkson in D.C. What a great show, she amazes me with her live performances. I was interested to see how this tour would be different from the last one I went to because this time around she's playing much smaller venues. I thought her voice had sounded strained during some of the televised performances I caught around the time her new album came out but her voice was perfect at the concert. She played a great mix as always of new and older stuff and she had a lot of energy and talked to the crowd after every song. Some of my favorites that she played were How I Feel, Addicted, Hole and Chivas.

And Friday, my best friend, a co-worker and I also saw Tori Amos. Now, Tori has been my favorite since I was about 14 so I have a lot of years put in to her. This concert was a completely different vibe. Isabel, one of the "dolls", made an appearance which was fitting for D.C. She played over 20 songs. My favorites were Hey Jupiter and Code Red. I had really wanted to hear Siren, but didn't. My friend from work wanted to hear both 1000 Oceans and Concertina and he got them back to back.

My weekend was pretty low key. I've been watching season 3 of Veronica Mars, playing Guitar Hero and today J and I went out to lunch with my sister and her boyfriend. I am so not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow though. :)
